What it is:
Ultra-Thin Volakas White Marble Veneer is a composite material consisting of a micro-thin layer of genuine natural marble (approx. 0.5mm-1mm) bonded to a flexible fiberglass and polyester resin backing. It looks and feels like stone because the surface is Taş.
Why use it over solid slabs:
Traditional 2cm marble is heavy (60kg/m²) and brittle. This veneer weighs only ~2kg/m² and is flexible. This makes it essential for Aircraft Interiors, Yacht Design, Elevator Cabs, and Curved Columns where weight restrictions or curved geometry prevent the use of solid stone.
How it works (Translucency):
Because the Volakas marble is sliced so thin, it becomes naturally translucent. When paired with our Translucent Backing option, it can be backlit with LED panels to create a glowing, luxurious stone feature wall.
Options (Backing Types):
Seçin Standard Fiberglass for wall cladding and furniture. Choose Translucent Resin for backlit applications. Choose Honeycomb Aluminum backing (custom) for high-impact flooring or table tops that require rigidity but low weight.
Installation Considerations:
Unlike slabs, this does not require cement. It is installed using PU Structural Adhesive or Epoxy. It can be cut on-site using a table saw with a diamond blade or heavy-duty metal shears.

It is 100% genuine natural Volakas marble. We slice the raw stone block into ultra-thin layers. The surface you touch is real stone with its natural cold feel and texture. It is NOT a printed PVC or ceramic tile.
Natural stone is brittle, but when sliced to less than 1mm, the crystalline structure loses its rigidity. Our patented fiberglass and resin backing holds the crystals together, acting like a flexible skeleton. This allows the sheet to flex convex or concave without snapping.
You do not need a heavy wet saw. You can use a standard table saw with a diamond blade, a handheld circular saw, or for thinner 1.5mm sheets, you can even use heavy-duty industrial tin snips. This makes installation much faster and cleaner than traditional stone.
We recommend using a high-quality Polyurethane (PU) structural adhesive (like SikaFlex) or a specialized stone epoxy. Do not use standard cement mortar, as these sheets are non-porous on the back.
Yes. The fiberglass backing is waterproof. However, you must ensure the substrate is waterproofed, and the stone surface must be sealed with a high-quality impregnating sealer. Joints should be filled with epoxy grout to prevent water ingress.
Yes! Volakas is naturally semi-translucent. If you plan to backlight it, please specify “Translucent Backing” when ordering. We will use clear resin instead of opaque resin, allowing the LED light to glow through the stone veins.
Generally, white marble can yellow under UV exposure over time. For exterior use, we must use a special UV-resistant resin backing and high-grade exterior sealers. Please inform us if your project is outdoors so we can adjust the production formula.
You can butt-joint them for a minimal line, or leave a small gap (1-2mm) and grout it with color-matched epoxy. Because the sheets are thin, metal trim strips (gold/black/silver) are also a popular design choice to cover seams.

We pack the sheets either flat on pallets or in wooden crates. The sheets are stacked face-to-face with foam interleaving. Because they are flexible and reinforced, they are actually much more durable during shipping than thick, brittle slabs.
